Another topic where we strive to pioneer is clean beauty. For us, clean beauty means a product that’s safe for people and the planet, non-toxic, plant based, ethically sourced, and made with human and environmental health in mind.

After more than 8 months of meticulous review by an international team of 20+ toxicologists, cosmetic scientists and environmentalists, we passed the strictest verification standard for clean beauty. We became the first European CBD skincare brand to receive EWG VERIFIED mark - and the first and only from the GCC.

EWG stands for Environmental Working Group - a global non-for-profit institution that runs product licensing program. (here need to add a link to their website). This program imposes strictest set of health and environment protection standards, and ensures exclusion of all ingredients with health, ecotoxicity, and/or contamination concerns. While reviewing the products, EWG goes way beyond checking the list of ingredients used in formulation - they require full information on where each of the ingredients is sourced from, how is it processed, and what are its test results for contamination with toxins. To date, only 1,968 personal care products globally carry the EWG verified mark.

In addition to clean formulation, we ensured that our product is fully planet-friendly. Juana bottles are recycled and infinitely recyclable, made from 100% recycled glass. Juana boxes were here before. Made with recycled materials and FSC-certified outer packaging – the highest standard of protection for endangered species and forests.
