In Vitro Studies

In order to ascertain the efficacy of JUANA Soothe Skin Butter at addressing atopic skin dermatitis, in vitro studies were conducted by an independent laboratory in France that specializes in cellular and molecular pharmacology.

A reconstructed epidermis was stimulated with an inflammatory cytokine mix IL-4 + IL-13 + IL-22 + TNF-α to mimic the chronic phase of atopic dermatitis. The genetic material (mRNA) was analyzed to see how the Soothe Skin Butter impacted the expression of specific genes related to innate immunity, inflammation and skin barrier function after 24 hours of use.

The results of the studies confirmed that the Soothe Skin Butter effectively treats eczema by significantly reducing inflammatory markers by up to 85%, soothing the skin, and helping to maintain hydration.

Induction of smoothing effects

Results showed that the Soothe Skin Butter induced a significant soothing effect by decreasing the markers S100A7 and DEFB4A by around 95%, and CAMP by around 60%.

Reduction of inflammatory markers

Results also showed that the Soothe Skin Butter significantly reduced inflammation by decreasing the markers IL8 and CCL27 by around 70% and 85%, respectively.

Clinical Tests

An independent third party institute in Germany that specializes in clinical trials in dermatology and women's health put our JUANA Rebalance Face Cream and Rejuvenate Face Cream to the test. 

The effectiveness of both products was evaluated in a split-face blind study (de-branded) involving 20 female subjects aged 21 to 59 years.
